My handle name is Shinchan and I have just joined this BBS.
This is a nostalgic drink for me as it reminds me of my mother.
She was born in Meiji 38th (1905) but has now passed away.

I often suffered from bronchitis when I was a child.
When I had a very bad cough, my mother would made such a drink from starch syrup and radishes, which she would cut thinly and then put in a wide-mouthed bottle.　After one night, she would give me this sweet and bitter drink.

I deeply appreciate my mother as I am still healthy today.
